Community

Inukjuak is a small community located on the east coast of Hudson Bay. The population is approximately 1,600 with the majority being Inuit. The traditional activities of hunting and gathering are still frequently part of the everyday life of the Inuit in the community. Cultural heritage and traditional values are still a strong part of the Inuit lifestyle, and with the support of the association, these values and traditions will continue to be a part of Inuit life in the community for many more years to come.
